- Fabric Elements™ Paintable Fabric Papillon Cotton Fat Quarter
- Fabric Elements™ Printed Tissue paper
- Fabric Elements™ Lace
- Fabric Elements™ Peltex® Firm Stabilizer
- 4- 10″ x 5″ pieces of canvas fabric
- 1- 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of double sided fusible web
- Art Anthology Spray, Avocado
- Jacquard Lumiere Brass (gold) acrylic
- fabric glue
Place two canvas pieces together. Find and mark the center horizontal width. Machine stitch on the horizontal line. Also, machine stitch 1/8″ from edge of top and bottom of page. Repeat with remaining pieces of canvas. You should now have two book pages.
Cut two, 10 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ pieces from Fabric Elements Papillion paintable fabric. Cut one, 10 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece from Fabric Elements Peltex, firm stabilizer. Machine stitch 1/8″ around perimeter of book cover. Machine stitch 6-7 times down the center of book cover. Spray or paint cover (back and front) with thin acrylic or ink.
Mark down the center of book pages. Place book pages onto inside of book cover. Machine stitch down the center of book, through book pages and cover.
Cut a 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ square from Fabric Elements Printed Tissue Paper and fusible web. Following manufacturer’s instructions, apply fusible web to the non printed side of Tissue Paper. Using a cosmetic sponge, apply ink around Tissue Paper.
Fuse tissue onto front book cover. Using a small brush, apply gold metallic paint. Measure book with elastic lace. Glue ends together. Place two paper flowers secured together with a decorative scrapbook brad. Glue flowers to lace. This will be the closure for book.
