Christmas Monogram Pillow

December has to be one of my favorite months of the year. We’re in the heart of the holiday season, and we get to change out our fall decor for more festive Christmas decorations.

One of my favorite projects from this year has to be my Geometric Pillow, and I’ve recreated it for every season so far, just by modifying the colors that I use. For the Christmas season, I’ll be using red and green instead of black and white, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that such a simple switch completely changes the look of a room.

For full instructions on how to make this simple and elegant pillow, view the directions HERE.

Holiday Noel Banner

I love a good wreath, but this year I’m excited to do something a little bit different for my holiday decor. I’m making a Noel banner!

Set the ScanNCut2 machine to cut two of #AR-0012 wreath 6”x6”.

Remove the cut wreath and set aside.

Set the ScanNCut2 to cut an 8.00” x 11.49” banner from embossed paintable wallpaper from the shape menu.

Set the ScanNCut2 to cut one Noel from the word menu.

Paint Noel and each wreath leaf with metallic green.

Paint the banner with red metallic.

Hot glue a piece of green paper to the back of the painted banner.  Trim around the banner 1/4” from the edge.  Using a cosmetic sponge, apply white acrylic paint around the edges of the banner and each wreath.

Using black ink, stamp the painted wreaths with a script design.  Layer and glue the wreaths together.  Edge them with acrylic paint as done with the banner.  Create a bow and hanger from ribbon and hot glue both to the wreath.

Snowflake Pillow

I love winter.

Felt snowflakes cover the mantle, Christmas trees shine bright, and I get to use fun winter themed pillows on my soft and chairs.

One of my favorite ways to decorate for the season is to create holiday themed pillows.  This past June,  I created an easy (and elegant) geometric pillow with a simple and easy technique and have been using it to create differently styled pillows.

For winter, I am using the same technique to create an elegant Snowflake Pillow!

This pillow is simple with your ScanNCut. Just trace the pattern of your favorite snowflake with the universal pen holder and finish it up with my tutorial on how to make this Snowflake Pillow.

Use colors that match your decor, or stick with black and white.

See it. Scan it. Cut it. Create it. #Brother #ScanNCut #brothercreates

Elegant Monogram Stationary

Monogram Stationary

Call me old-fashioned, but I love getting letters, though I may love sending them more. I have been making my own stationary for years now, and this month I’ve decided to shift things up a bit. Instead of stamping my monogram, I decided to use my ScanNCut.

I am so thrilled with the way this turned out! I think that I’ll also create seals for the envelopes once I’m ready to send my letters out!

Thanksgiving Wreath

Fall is definitely here in full force, and I’ve been loving my maple leaf wreath, but I’m definitely ready for a change. I love this time of year-fall bleeding into winter, all the colors on the trees changing, and all of the different options for decor.

As much as I love my wreath, I want something a bit more festive, so I’ve scouted my craft room for scraps that can be cut into turkey feathers. I will add some dark browns and deep greens to the fall reds and yellows, and have another beautifully understated wreath to decorate with.
