Tea Box

I love decorating for fall, especially when the decorations aren’t spooky!

This year I’m focusing on fall colors, and I decided to make a working tea box with some simple touches from my ScanNCut.

If you know someone with a fall birthday, this makes a great gift. Simply fill the box with their favorite teas (or yours) and tie it with a bow.

This reusable wooden tea box is one gift that will stay on the counter and be used again and again.

ScanNCut Machine
ScanNCut Standard Mat
Wood box
Double-sided design scrapbook paper
Acrylic craft paint, yellow
Paintbrush, 1” (can be foam)
Decoupage medium (any brand)
Protected work surface
Brayer (optional)

1.Using a brush, apply one coat of acrylic paint to the outside of the box. Let dry.

2.Measure the top of the box to see how big you would like the teapot to be.

3.Go to patterns in the Home/Clock section of the ScanNCut Library. Select the Tea Pot with Lid #AR-E018.

4.Set height and width and cut design using the ScanNCut.

5.Go to the Alphabet section of the ScanNCut library. Choose alphabet #FO-A011. Type TEA and cut design using the ScanNCut.

6.Go to the Border section of the ScanNCut library. Choose Border #BO-A00, use the preselected height and width. Cut design using the ScanNCut.

7.Brush decoupage medium onto the back of the cut teapot and lid. Center the teapot and lid (adhesive side down) onto the top of the box. Adhere to smoothing with hands or brayer.

8.Refer to photo and repeat step six using the TEA letters and border adhering them to the box.
